The brand is in line with a physical almost as imposing as the G3, this time adding a few more curves and a touch of eccentricity with a hull coating genuine leather (several finishes available).

The primary interest to maintain a curved smartphone wide measurements - not forgetting that there LG brings a 5.5-inch screen - is to provide a mobile terminal which is good in the Catch and we never afraid to let it slide. The front rids itself again and again physical buttons, relegated to the back to fall in the index.

The slight curvature of the front, beyond the nice visual look that gives the product, clearly plays a positive role in the ergonomics and can even perceive the G4 slightly less than it is mastodon really. Simple observation will interest many Android users frustrated in 2015: the G4 is currently the only high-end terminal of the year, which allows access to the battery.

The new generation of IPS panel allows, like the LG promises in its marketing pitch and as we were able to verify our eyes and our probes, contrast much better (1546: 1 on average, 86% more contrast than the G3 !), very deep blacks and brightness, which passes by a maximum of 540 cd / m2, one of the best luminosities market.

The only small negatives on this new screen just a color rendering sometimes a little too bright (temperature to 7800 K) and therefore slightly less natural, but flatter probably moult retinas. We are not, however, in a report type "AMOLED-crazy" and the colors of joy burst remains moderate. Colorimetry takes hold in the waters of the G3 that is left in absolute excellent result, but to date, there are several references offering a little more accurate colors, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

For responsiveness, we noted a touch delay of 100 ms, against half for the G3. On the gifted student in 2014, the family G happening in the average mobile in 2015. Some may mock the lack of enthusiasm from LG to offer applications and functions that come out a bit unconventional, but again, LG limit risk taking. The G4 runs Android 5 Lollipop and features Optimus UX 4.0 interface that covers all mobile brand products.
We find some useful tools such as the ability to view two applications simultaneously by sharing the screen; Smart Bulletin, which is a page dedicated to organize ourselves and in which we can grow information, notifications, application widget; deep settings for wireless connectivity to configure exactly how you want to use Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and / or 4G. Obviously, double-tap on the screen to enter / exit standby and the Knock Code are still in the game, like all Google applications. The assembly takes place in an atmosphere that will not be to everyone's taste. If Samsung was able to backtrack in the flashy side with its new TouchWiz, LG will likely attempt a breakthrough.
But then, what is this famous chip Snapdragon 808 preferred to a 810 who left a highly perishable remember the brand with the G Flex 2 (heating, ultra clamped performance while stabilizing, autonomy discounts ...)? Well this platform is doing with honors. She not only scratched from his vocabulary the word slowdown, but it also provides consistent performance and duration.
